GMO crops: EU considers letting member states decide on cultivation
EU Ministers in charge of Agriculture meet on Monday 27 September to hold an exchange of views on the freedom for Member States to decide on the cultivation of genetically modified crops.
Sabine Laruelle, acting Belgian Minister for Agriculture and Science Policy, explained in a press conference that there were many questions that arose in the statements made by delegations to understand the implications of the additional powers that would be granted to member states. She also said that there were very clear positions expressed in one direction or another and added that a consensus would not be easily find in the next months.
Commissioner John Dalli was confident that the approach proposed by the Commission is a balanced one because it does not undermine the internal market and it is not in contradiction with the WTO rules.

Sunday Satsang 11/23/2008: Sustainable Rural Community
http://esotericteaching.org This is a very important Satsang because we talk about the future direction of our community. The present materialistic civilization is called ugra-karma, sinful or unnecessary work. The next phase of our spiritual community will be to develop a sustainable rural agricultural community and varṇāśrama spiritual university based on the mode of goodness and karma-yoga. Śrīla Prabhupāda instructed us to train brāhmaṇas and to protect cows, live simply in harmony with the land and God.
We already have a nice online community and a small urban āśram, but we need to develop further toward fulfilling Śrīla Prabhupāda’s instructions. So the next stage will be fundraising and developing a plan for the rural community. My vision is to host international conferences in sustainable agriculture. This will attract people with valuable expertise in these areas—knowledge that would take us years to acquire. We can give these people a taste of spiritual life, and if they like it, they can stay and help us. We also will hire local people, experienced agriculturalists and share knowledge with them.

Important Gulf Oil Spill Information From Lindsey Williams On Alex Jones 1
I urge people to pray for all those who will be affected get active and informed, this crisis will effect everyone. Make sure you have emergency supplies and a plan for you and the people you care about. that means extra food, water, a source of power, medicines you take, think about what you need in a given day to survive mentally and physically. The chemicals that have now been released as a result of the spill will effect air and water as well as the agriculture and food supplies. People should start to consider Growing as much of their own food as possible with non-GMO seeds, food can be grown year round in containers indoors depending on the climate. It is important to be as self reliant as possible now more than ever. There are many types of water filtration systems some are portable like The Big Berkey Water filter which also has a Fluoride filter that can be bought separately. This filter can make river water 99.9 % pure and Fluoride free:)
