Important issues …
Important issues are raised, mostly as generalizations. Overall, the farm and foods movements have been very successful at 1. exposing problems. This film is weaker than most as it doesn’t say much about 2. the broken policies, and they’re all weak, or reversed, at 3. the correct alternative. We desperately need different films, that can put an end to below cost gains. Agricultural …
Agricultural subsidies are a disgrace of the developed world. We are killing of jobs in the developing world because they are unable to compete with our food price thanks to the subsidies. Europe should be on the cutting edge of science but what we actually are is farmers union of nation states. The money is better spent on R&D, education and science. Farmers won’t like it but this the way to go.

@Uhmu45 ‘Farmers won’t like it’? You mean ‘the French’ won’t like it! Seeing as they are so averse to rethinking their massively inefficient farming practices which have been propped up by the CAP since it was cooked up.

Can’t believe I sat through this vid being lectured on the CAP by these Eurocrats who have been burying their head in the sand about CAP reform for decades, to whom the only necessary reform is to spend yet more taxpayers’ money on chasing some unobtainable green dream.
