What can be used as a pesticide on my blueberry bushes?

I have japanese beetles that are eating my blueberry plant in my back yard how do I get rid of them is there a type of pesticide I can spray on my plants, that doesn’t kill humans or kill the taste in the blueberry?

Liquid, ready to use "Sevin" is available at WalMart, Home Depot and Lowes garden centers. It will control adult Japanese beetles on blueberry plants as well as over 100 other insect pests. You can also purchase a "concentrate" formula and mix it yourself if you have many to spray. Here is a link with info on this product. Be sure to read the entire product label on the PDF formatted link Iam providing. This will give you good info on the product and just what it does, along with the insects it controls and the varieties of plants it can be applied to. Hope this answers your question…

Added Info….Blueberries if present on the bush, can be sprayed up to 7 days before harvest time using "Sevin" (info on product label). Iam assuming that you do not have any ripening fruit at this time of year, so you shouldn’t have any worries about doing a couple of applications.

Go with Billy. I ONLY use Sevin. To me, it is the safest. Just remember to read the label. Different plants have different "safe" days. Some plants cannot be eaten for 7 days after. Others 2-3.
